Tell the truth!

Rachel Toor’s main point in “Confessions of a Recovering Admissions Officer” is simply that the truth can be rewarding. One of Rachel Toor’s strategies to convince the reader was to give examples of the many applications she has read and the students she has consulted. She convinces the reader and admission officers that the truth can give more insight on an applicant rather than the lies students have resorted to write in their applications. She is also convincing because she has experience as an admissions officer which shows that she knows what she is talking in regards to the lies that she read on college applications. The final way she is convincing, is how she tells her emotions and how much she cares about the future of the students.
