It’s Never Ok to Kill
Patricia Bauer’s article “The Abortion Debate No One Wants to Have” discussed how aborting children just because they have a disability is wrong. They are people just like we are.
Many people felt like “it was immoral to subject a child to the kind of suffering he or she would have to endure”. However, Bauer’s daughter does not feel this way. She enjoys life. The only suffering she endures is “the negative social attitudes”.
After reading Bauer’s article, I was disappointed that women would terminate their baby just because the unborn child would have a disability. They deserve to experience life. Who gave them the right to choose? How would you feel if you were never given a chance to experience life?
